This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Audubon Audio (operated by Audubon Studios LLC, doing business as Audubon Audio; "we", "us", "our") collects when you use our website and Members Area, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Audubon Audio sells audio software (plugins), sample packs, presets, and related digital products, and offers optional 1-on-1 lessons. You can reach us at audubonaudioshop@gmail.com with any privacy questions or requests. Our mailing address is [BUSINESS ADDRESS].
2. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to run the store, your account, and support. Specifically:

Payment information. We do not collect or store your card or bank details. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for purchases. Lemon Squeezy collects the payment and billing information needed to complete your order and handles applicable sales tax/VAT. Your card details are handled by Lemon Squeezy under their own privacy policy, available at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. We receive confirmation of your purchase and the associated email so we can deliver your products.
3. How we use your information
- To create your account and provide access to the Members Area and your purchases
- To deliver products, generate license serials, and provide download links
- To send transactional emails (order confirmations, account verification, password resets, booking confirmations)
- To respond to support requests and lesson inquiries
- To send marketing or product-update emails, where you've signed up for them
- To secure the service, prevent fraud and abuse, and debug problems
4. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly functional cookies — primarily a secure, signed login session cookie so you stay signed in, and (during pre-launch) a site-access cookie. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our site analytics are cookieless and first-party (nothing is stored on your device, no data is sent to any third party), and we honour the Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals by not recording those visits at all. Because the functional cookies are essential to operating the site and your account, the site will not function correctly without them.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Audubon Audio:
- Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and Merchant of Record
- Email delivery — we send transactional and (where applicable) marketing email through our email provider
- Hosting & file storage — our web host and file/download storage provider
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Audubon Audio and our users.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account, order, and license records for as long as you have an account and as needed to provide support, honor licenses, and meet legal or accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time (see "Your choices" below). Some records may be retained where we're legally required to keep them.
7. How we protect your information
Passwords are stored using a salted, computationally expensive hash — never in plain text. Login sessions use signed, expiring tokens, and download links are short-lived and access-controlled. We serve the site over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
8. Your choices & rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and personal data
- Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time (use the unsubscribe link in any marketing message, or email us)
To make any of these requests, email audubonaudioshop@gmail.com from the address on your account and we'll take care of it.
9. Children
Audubon Audio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. International users
We operate from the United States and our service providers may process data in other countries. By using Audubon Audio, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in locations outside your home country.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date, and notify registered users by email of any material changes.
